Re: Amaicha Torrontes 2005

And Mike says we never finish the bottle in one night. Hah!

The smell of this wine is intoxicating. Lychees. That's the fruit I've been trying to connect to the sweet smell of this wine! Lychees and jackfruit. Mmmm. This wine makes me homesick for the Philippines. Weird.

The taste is incredibly subtle; you hardly notice the number of times you refill your glass. It's a very easy wine to drink. I cannot believe the first two whites we've chosen to review have been knockouts.

Because I really have to agree with Mike and give this a 4.5 out of 5.

If you haven't ever had a white wine before, or if you aren't a fan of white wines (like me), buy this one first. It will be the best $3 you ever spend.

  4. Where does one find this wine? I was gifted with a bottle and am hooked. Trader joe's no longer carries. I'm located in Santa Cruz County, CA. alleyland1@calcentral.com
